MARG Limited, one of the India's leading infrastructure development companies, has announced a foray into fabrication of railway wagon with the bagging of an order from Braithwaite & Co. Ltd (BCL). MARG EPC's Industrial Project division has bagged the order worth Rs 37.66 Crore which includes total fabrication, assembly, fitment of components, painting & finishing etc. of 247 BTFLN (FF) wagon including supply of components & consumables except raw steel, wheel set (without bearings) & dished ends for Braithwaite & Co. Ltd (BCL).

This will include all types of preparation of total fabrication, drilling, fitting, riveting, huck-bolting, welding, grinding, chipping, cleaning, finishing, handling, wheeling etc., testing of dye-penetration test of welding joints, air brake test of wagon, pneumatic testing, hydraulic testing, shot blasting, painting & lettering of the wagon etc. The total timeframe for completion of this project of fabricating 247 wagons will be approximately seven months.

BTFLN wagon is a new and improved frameless Bogie Tanker Wagon used primarily for liquid petroleum products (petrol, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, furnace oil, etc.), and also for vegetable oil and other liquid cargo. This wagon is an improvement over BTPN wagons.
