Magal LVD to exhibit advanced Laser Cutting & Forming Machinery at IMTEX

Magal LVD India Pvt Ltd will spotlight LVD's advanced laser cutting and forming technology at IMTEX Forming and Tooltech 2012, Hall 2A, Booth 109.

On display will be LVD's Sirius 3015 laser cutting system with Fanuc 4 kW RF excited fast axial flow laser source. Sirius is a flying optics CO2 system that combines a dynamic machine with high laser beam quality for consistently accurate processing.

Quick set-up is assured by quick-change lenses, crash protection, capacitive sheet position sensing, capacitive height sensing, and high-pressure cutting. A compact design optimises use of floor space.

Sirius features a constant beam length system that keeps the diameter of the laser beam constant and consequently always maintains a fixed focal point position, resulting in higher cutting speeds and superior cut quality maintained over the entire working area.

NC Focus provides programmable adjustment of the focal position without operator intervention. The laser cutting system also provides Process Control for piercing and cutting and an automatic shut down feature. The laser, CNC control, drives and motors are fully integrated, providing superior processing speed, high reliability, and low operating and maintenance costs.

The Sirius model on display at IMTEX is equipped with automatic shuttle tables.

Also exhibited will be LVD's PPEC-5 110/30 precision press brake with CADMAN? Lite touch screen control.

PPEC press brakes feature a rugged, welded one-piece frame machined without repositioning guaranteeing machine precision. Hydraulic cylinders are machined from a solid steel billet. Pistons are steel forgings, precision ground and micro-polished for years of trouble-free service.

Microprocessor Technology is linked to servo-controlled state-of-the-art hydraulics and electronics to ensure perfect control of the bending process and optimum precision. Double bed referenced encoders are connected to the bed in such a way that deformation of the side frames during bending does not influence the positioning accuracy of 0.01 mm of the upper beam (Y1-Y2).

The standard PPEC backgauge fingers allow gauging to 1000 mm and also serve as material supports. The PPEC-5 model on display can be equipped with an additional third finger support, ideally suited to the bending of channels. A V-axis crowning system fitted on the PPEC-5 ensures parallel and consistent bending results on longer bending length over the different tonnage levels.

LVD's CADMAN Lite touch screen control is easy and intuitive to use with features such as 2D graphic programming with automatic collision detection, direct angle or Quick Bend programming, and connection with LVD's CADMAN-B offline programming software.
