The tech city Bengaluru is all set to foster human-machine interactions at South East Asia’s biggest exhibition on machine tools and manufacturing technologies, IMTEX 2023. The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), the apex body of the Indian machine tool industry, is organising the 20th edition of IMTEX along with Tooltech 2023 and Digital Manufacturing 2023. The seven days event will start on January 19, 2023, covering an exhibition space of approximately 77,000 square metres in 5 halls of the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. Germany, Korea, Spain, Taiwan, and USA are having country pavilions at the venue.
With more than 960 exhibitions from 23 countries at IMTEX, other attractions will be International Seminar on Manufacturing Technologies, i2 Academia Pavilion with 20+ institutions including IITs, Jagruti, a special initiative for students scheduled on January 21 and 22, Connect, an initiative for providing job opportunities to students on January 22, and International Buyer-Seller Meet which will be held on January 23 and 24.
Tooltech and Digital Manufacturing are happening as concurrent shows. Tooltech will showcase the world of parts, accessories, and systems for machine tools and manufacturing technology whereas Digital Manufacturing will have exhibitors showcasing evolving Industry 4.0 hardware, software and solutions, additive manufacturing, and other prominent technologies.
The IMTMA will also reward and recognise the efforts of companies from the Industry. The IMTMA Best Design Award will be granted for indigenously designed products, and the IMTMA Export Performance Award will recognise companies that have made significant achievements in the export of machine tools and will be conferred during the event.
The event will also act as a platform for Machine tool builders to present new products such as smart and intelligent machines, high-precision, high-performance, multi-tasking, hybrid machines and special purpose machines, robots, cobots, AGVs, tools, accessories, manufacturing software, 3D Printers, 3D printing solutions, evolving Industry 4.0 hardware, software, customised solutions, etc.
