Businesses such as Power Transmission & Distribution and Buildings & Factories have been awarded contracts. The projects are in India and abroad in places like Dolvi, Ladakh, Ayodhya, Dubai, Africa, and Thailand.

Mumbai

L&T Construction, the construction arm of Larsen and Tubro (L&T), has announced that it has won a slew of orders in India and abroad for its various businesses.

Under the Power Transmission & Distribution Business, the company has won an order to construct a 220kV Transmission Line associated with system strengthening in the Ladakh region. The design and execution of this system involve traversing avalanche-prone, hilly terrains and ice loading of conductors. It has also received another project for urban power distribution in Ayodhya city under the Integrated Power Development Scheme.

On the international front, the company has been awarded an order to design, supply, construct, install, test, and commission a 132/11kV substation with associated cable works in Dubai and two transmission line packages in Africa. Additionally, L&T Construction has won a package involving the supply and construction of a new Gas Insulated Substation and associated substation extensions in Thailand. These works will enhance the transmission system security and support the rising demand for electricity in the upper northern parts of the country.

The Buildings & Factories business has secured a prestigious order from a leading cement manufacturer in India to construct a 1.8 MTPA Grinding Unit in Dolvi, Maharashtra. The scope involves Civil, Mechanical and Equipment Installation works.
