Lapp India launches Olflex Heat 650

Bangalore 13 July, 2016: Lapp India, a 100% subsidiary of the Lapp Group Germany and a leading supplier of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology in India, has introduced Olflex®Heat 650. This cable can withstand ambient temperatures up to +650°C. With a constant temperature resistance of up to +650°C, Olflex®Heat 650is designed to be used in heavy industries. It is also used in heating modules, electric heating devices, heat lockers, furnaces, electric ranges, ceramic processing and chemical industries.

Nickel strands and braided glass fibre insulated single core (SC) cables makes Olflex®Heat 650extremely strong and durable at high temperatures, coupled with a good resistance level.

Whether it’s in power plants, blast furnaces or engines – cables must be able to withstand extreme heat and mechanical stress. Right cabling solutions are critical for safety. To meet the industry requirements, the Lapp Group offers specialised cabling solutions such as Olflex®Heat 650.

Key features:

* It is flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2
* Single halogen-free cable: It’s Halogen Free property eliminates the threat of forming caustic and contributes to less corrosion damage to equipment near the fire
* Good electrical conductivity at high temperatures
* Nickel conductor: bunched nickel strands (Ni > 99, 2%)
* Available from 0.5 mm² up to 50.mm²
* Nominal voltage – U0/U: 300/500 V
* Temperature range: Occasional flexing – -50°C to +650°C; fixed installation – -50°C to +700°C (adequate ventilation required) and
* Only suitable for use in dry conditions.
