KSB Care initiatives for the betterment of society

Sustainability will always be integral to KSB’s endeavours, says the company’s recent media release. This is reflected in the company’s continued commitment to deliver comfort and care through sustainable and responsible projects under CSR activities. The pillar of these initiatives is to improve quality of life of communities in a proactive and sensitive manner by undertaking the projects for underprivileged children, women and elders.

MAHER is one such mission which helps destitute women, children and men from all over India exercise their right to a higher quality of life, irrespective of gender, caste, creed or religion. There is no doubt that Maher has gone a long way in lighting a ray of hope in the life of these young people who are standing on the threshold of life, eager to realize their cherished dreams.

In VadhuBudruk, a village located about 40 km from Pune in Maharashtra, Maher was founded in 1997 where they have 10 children's homes accommodating 300 children and a home for the destitute elders. Since this site is situated far from the Pune city, to have the easy access of transport, they needed vehicles to take children and women to the hospital, movement during emergencies other than occasional use for essential material transfer between Maher sites. Understanding this need, KSB Care has donated a 7 seater Tata Sumo and a Pickup van to Maher Ashram under its CSR activity for the year 2015.

KSB Care also supports Maher in their good cause by sponsoring the annual expense of “The Rising Star home” a shelter for 40 children to the tune of Rs 9,60,000.
