KSB Pumps Ltd, the leading major in the manufacture and sale of Power Driven Pumps and Industrial Valves in India, inaugurated a new Cast Iron Foundry at the existing facilities in Vambori near Ahmednagar.

With the addition of new High pressure moulding line along with a Tri track Induction furnace, the company's Cast Iron Foundry division is now ready to meet all international Quality standards. The annual capacity of the foundry will be approx 3600 MT. The foundry shall take care of all critical cast iron castings required not only by KSB India, but by KSB Group.

The shed was inaugurated by Mr Werner Spiegel, Managing Director, KSB Pumps Limited, on 13^th April, 2013. While addressing the gathering, Mr Spiegel took a review of foundry developments over past 30 years and also briefed the master plan.

The new shade has been constructed by considering KSB's commitment towards green environment. Few salient features of the same are:

• Fume extraction and dust collector system
• Recyclable sand system for mould and core making, and
• LPG fired core ovens.

KSB has manufacturing facilities at five locations in India and is currently the largest outside Germany and serves as an important sourcing location for the KSB Group worldwide.
