Kinetic Engineering Ltd, a leading player in India’s automotive and manufacturing sector, has unveiled its state-of-the-art Robotic Chassis Line at its Ahilya Nagar facility in Maharashtra. The new line integrates robotic welding for the Kinetic DX EV, clamping auto fixtures, and a dedicated scooter framing cell, delivering structural accuracy, consistency, and greater productivity. This automation marks a decisive step towards higher safety, quality, and operational efficiency while minimising error.

The facility has also been upgraded with advanced systems across production lines. The enhanced metal body panel unit now features hydraulic and mechanical presses, spot welding guns, and pneumatic clamping fixtures for improved accuracy and reliability. A modern paint shop has been introduced with a seven-tank process, CED coating, and metallic top finish, providing premium corrosion resistance and superior aesthetics.

A digitised store for frame child parts further strengthens the facility. It employs robust quality checks, individual gauges, and kit-based supply tailored to sub-assembly needs, streamlining inventory management and ensuring seamless operations.

Ajinkya Firodia, current Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering Ltd, said the launch exemplifies a larger vision for Indian industry: “The future of manufacturing lies in blending automation, precision, and sustainability. With this robotic line, we are redefining how production should be conducted in India and aligning ourselves with global standards.”

Key highlights of the robotic chassis line & facility upgrades:
  • Robotic Welding & Automation: Advanced robotic systems ensure precise, repeatable welds and superior structural integrity.
  • Clamping Auto Fixtures & Scooter Framing Cell: Boosts accuracy and efficiency in chassis assembly.
  • Enhanced Body Panel Line: Hydraulic and mechanical presses, along with pneumatic clamping, improve production quality and reliability of the metal body panels of the Kinetic DX EV.
  • Modernized Paint Shop: 7-tank process with CED and metallic top coating ensures durability and a premium finish.
  • Digitized Parts Store: Individual part gauging, sub-assembly storage, and kit-based supply streamline the manufacturing process.
