Bangalore-based industrial automation system integrator Insys Electrical & Controls LLP is eyeing to collaborate with domestic machine builders to help them build modern machines and reduce import-dependency of these machines in India. “At present, we are offering components and related services. Now, as part of our next phase of growth, we intend to provide complete solutions to our customers so that they can offer better machines in the country,” said Sridhar Nalluri, Manager, Insys Electrical & Controls LLP, while speaking exclusively to IPF’s Rakesh Rao.
Insys Electrical supplies PLC, HMI, proximity sensors, photo electric sensors, encoders, safety switch, safety light curtain, safety PLC, solid state relay, SMPS, relay boards, temperature controllers, timers, counters, etc. Since it was established in 2016, the company has been essentially focusing on giving industrial solutions to manufacturing industries through automations and programming innovation development. Insys Electrical has strategic alliances with leading brands like GIC, UNISON, Red Lion, Schmersal, Esbee, Omron, etc for distribution of industrial automation products.
Sridhar Nalluri elaborated, “Insys provides low-cost automation solutions to the industries. Low cost does not mean cheap product. We offer good quality products at affordable price with complete technical support to the customers. We cater to all types of companies (small to medium to large) depending upon their requirements. Our focus is on offering solution based on the need and the budget of the customers. We also have in-house testing facility.”
In the recent years, the need for automation has been on the rise in the industry. So, is this trend visible even among small & medium enterprises (SMEs)? He answered, “Yes, companies are looking at upgrading their machines and plants with modern solution. For example, earlier companies used push buttons, now they are asking for touch screen as it has more functions. Likewise, the demand for IoT (Internet of Things) products is on the rise and, we believe, IoT will be a big thing in the next couple of years. We offer low-cost to high-end IoT solutions to our customers.”
Speaking about the hurdles in the adoption of automation, Sridhar Nalluri said, “Many companies want it (IoT) but are reluctant to invest money. Cost of any new technology is always high initially (take the example of mobile phones). Once the volume (of IoT based products) goes up, cost will automatically come down.”
Insys Electrical aims to surpass the client expectations by giving innovative industrial automation solutions, more value addition, and accordingly upgrading process functionality and improving production & operation efficiency of the industry.
As part of its growth plans, Insys Electrical wants to increase its engagement with its customers by collaborating with them to make high-quality machines. “Most of small-scale machine builders have strong mechanical knowledge. Hence, they look for partners who have the know-how of electronics to help them develop new machines having automated and advanced features. We would like to be a partner to such companies as we bring in the expertise in electronics. To start with, we are eyeing partnership with packaging machinery manufacturers,” explained Sridhar Nalluri.
Elaborating more, he said, “We want to collaborate with these machine builders and bring in our expertise in electrical & electronics so that they can build better machines. Through this collaboration, these companies can produce machines with improved features and benefits, which will help them to compete with imported machines.”
