The 17th edition of the awaited International Industrial Trade Fair INTEC 2017 was conducted with poise and vigor by CODISSIA - The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association.

CODISSIA the organisor of INTEC is an ISO 9001:2000 organisation with 5269 members and four decades of experience, it has been preparing the industries of Coimbatore to take up the challenge of transforming the industrial scenario. Backed by CODISSIA’s continuous endeavour INTEC has carved a niche for itself in the global sphere.

As expected this edition was much more grand and full of opportunities for the visitors as well as the exhibitors than its predecessor. The exhibition was held through five days i.e. from 1st June to 5th June 2017 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. The inaugural event was attended by multiple delegates like Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary - Minister of State for MSME, C.P. Radhakrishnan - Chairman COIR Board, V. Sundaram - President CODISSIA, K.K. Jalan - Secretary to GOI Ministry MSME, J. Balu - Chairman CODISSIA, Mangat Ram Sharma - Principal Secretary - Tamil Nadu MSME Department and other respected guests. The delegates expressed their views, suggestions and the contribution of INTEC to the MSME sector followed by the launch of the fair directory and inaugural visit with all the exhibitors.

During the five day fair INTEC attracted a large turnout of visitors which included technical experts and academicians, engineering, turnkey project consulting and service providers, industrial entrepreneurs, decision-makers and top executives of large and medium industrial manufacturing and engineering, buyers and sourcing personnel, media personnel, diplomats and ministerial trade delegates. IPF also participated in this event as one of the exhibitors and had the opportunity to interact with manufacturers, traders, fellow media persons and the most important, its readers.
