Hypertherm, manufacturer of advanced plasma cutting systems for use in a variety of industries such as agriculture, automotive, construction, shipbuilding, manufacturing, metal fabrication, pre-endgineered building and railways, had a fruitful event in Weld India 2011 at Chennai last month. The company has been in India for ten years, and plans to grow its presence in the country.

Abhinav Sood, Sales Leader of Hypertherm India, said, "The previous edition of Weld India was a positive experience for us, so we decided to exhibit again this year. The trade show allowed us to reach out to our customers and channel partners in the country, and to set up face-to-face meetings with them. We also used the platform to inform visitors about our plasma systems."

Part of the company's focus at the show was to educate visitors about the benefits of using plasma systems for metal cutting. Hypertherm was able to achieve this objective with the many cutting edge plasma technologies that it brought to the event. Here are some products that were on display.

At the show, Hypertherm announced that the company is setting up a full-fledged operations office in Delhi that will feature a demo and training centre. Also, the company will be growing its team of service personnel by hiring more sales, marketing and technical service staff. As a result, end-users will have easier access to help.

"With the new office, we will be able to better meet the needs of our customers," said Sood. "The greater staff strength will be able to better maintain Hypertherm systems that are already in use in different parts of the country, and training sessions will equip end-users with the right technical skills. We chose to make this announcement at Weld India because many of our key channel partners and important customers attend the show."
