Bangalore, 11th December' 2013: Bangalore-based Hind High Vacuum Company Private Limited (HHV), has won the India's most coveted Export Award from EEPC India, for its outstanding export performance during the year 2011-12, in the category of Silver Shield for Star Performer - Large Enterprise.

EEPC INDIA (formerly Engineering Export Promotion Council) was set up in 1955 under the sponsorship of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India, for export promotion of engineering goods, projects and services from India. Initially started with a few hundreds of engineering units as a small outfit, with a passage of time it has grown to be the largest Export Promotion Council having membership of nearly 12,000 from amongst large corporate houses, star trading houses, small and medium scale units (SME), trading houses, etc. Out of the total membership of the Council, 60% constitutes the SMEs.

Established in 1965 at Bangalore to develop Indian self-reliance in high vacuum technology, HHV has now grown into a leading global player involved in the design, development and manufacture of off-the-shelf and customised equipment and products in the fields of vacuum technology, solar photovoltaic energy and thin films technology.

"HHV has been exporting a range of thin film products to the international markets, especially to USA, UK, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Germany and more. A few of HHV's export thin film products are 'Hard transparent coatings' on a glass disc by radio frequency magnetron reactive sputtering technique for tribological applications, Ultraviolet (UV) reflectors and Infrared (IR) blockers to dramatically increase the ink curing process which enhance the durability quality of the products and productivity," added Prasanth Sakhamuri.

HHV's thin film division is equipped with twelve sophisticated vacuum coaters with necessary modern accessories and processes in a clean room environment to ensure the products and meet MIL standards. The division has earned a reputation for consistent, reliable product performance and is certified for ISO: 9001:2000, BS OHSAS 18001: 2007 and ISO 14001: 2004 quality systems.
