Lucknow, September 25, 2013: Havells India Limited has announced its entry into a new business segment with the launch of Self-Priming Monoblock Pumps to cater to the water needs of homes and commercial establishments across Northern India. The product in next few months will be available across the country. The product comes in two variants - monoblock Pump V2 with 0.5 HP capacity and Monoblock Pump S1 & S2 with 1 HP capacity and 0.5 HP capacity respectively.

As part of its philosophy of introducing energy efficient products, the range of new pumps are powered by energy efficient motor with 2900 RPM and high suction with self-priming of up to 8 mtr. The pumps can carry a maximum working pressure of 5 kg/cm and have a wide voltage operating range of 180-240 V. The pump comes with Class F insulation and IP-55 protection.

With the launch of Self Priming Mono Block pumps, the company intends to target the overall Rs 5000 cr pump market. The pump will be manufactured at company's motor plant at Neemrana, Rajasthan. Currently, the plant will be manufacturing 10,000 units a month and the capacity will be enhanced to 25,000 units a month over next three months.

The UP region is critical for the company's long term growth and currently contributes close to 12% to its overall revenues. To further bolster its growth and increase the revenue contribution from the UP region, the company will augment its market presence in the region by adding more dealers and Havells Galaxy stores, apart from launching new products from time to time. Currently there are 220 'Havells Galaxy' across India and 32 in Uttar Pradesh. The company plans to open 43 'Havells Galaxy' in the state by end of FY 2014-15.
