The Senior Vice-President and Partner of the HARTING Technology Group, Margrit Harting, has received an award recently in Zhuhai recognising the Espelkamp-based company's outstanding commitment at the high-tech business zone of the million-inhabitant city in southern China and her exceptional personal efforts. The award was presented to Anna Wang, Administration Manager of HARTING (Zhuhai) Manufacturing Co Ltd, at a celebratory event to mark the 20th anniversary of the special business zone where many Chinese and foreign global companies have set up operations. The occasion was attended by high-ranking officials from the city of Zhuhai's administration, including the mayor and several of his deputies.

HARTING began production in Zhuhai, near to Hong Kong, in 1998 in rented premises. A new building was purchased nine years later where several hundred employees manufacture connectors for the growth markets of China, Japan and South Korea. The Technology Group has invested around
