HARTING China has received an award, "Business Innovator" in Shanghai recognising the company's outstanding contribution in product and technology innovation. The award was presented to Mr Simon Chan, Managing Director of HARTING China at the dinner after The 11th Annual Selection of Automation Ceremony on Jan 22nd, 2013 in Shanghai. The event was attended by senior management of Automation key players.

Renowned online automation media, "Gong Kong" organizes Annual Selection of Automation once per year. The jury voted for "Innovative Products", "Business Innovators" and "Excellent Project Model". Chief Engineers and expert from industries of petrochemical, textile, rubber, machinery, electric power, solar energy and over 10 other industries form the jury. The following aspects are scored:

• Technological creativity
• Practical function
• Market response
• Market performance
• Industry focus, and
• Industrial application.

Expert carefully shortlists 13 products among 320+ for the final voting. After group scoring, live discussion, fair voting and criticism, 39 creative products, 20 model projects and 11 enterprises are selected.

Mr Simon Chan was interviewed by Gong Kong and expressed his thanks. He declared during the interview that HARTING will continuously to develop innovative products, invent new technology and contribute to the industry.

HARTING China puts forward strategies about new products and new solutions. For example: Han-Yellock? series was launched in China since 2011, which is designed by headquarters in Germany and awarded "iF design award" in 2011. The new product leads innovation among heavy-duty connectors. HARTING China also strives on innovation on service, to provide value-added services, which can benefit customers. Since 2012, HARTING China launched online e-catalogue and e-business, which are designed to provide customers with real time information, convenience and time saving.

Sales performance in China market has been expanding in the last 7 years, maintaining a high growth rate. And now HARTING China has become the largest overseas branch outside Germany.
