Grace Construction Products has launched Preprufe? Plus - the next generation of pre-applied, fully-bonded waterproofing membranes. Preprufe Plus features superior lap adhesion and enables faster installation for unrivalled below ground water protection.

This latest advancement of Grace's leading range of Preprufe waterproofing membranes, retains all the features and benefits of this time-tested and proven technology, but adds both installation and in-place performance benefits. Ideal for waterproofing under the concrete slab, it is also perfect for confined walls on restricted building sites where excavation around the perimeter must be minimised.

Durable and puncture-resistant to handle harsh job site conditions, it is chemically resistant and unaffected by water or moisture during installation. Forming a unique adhesive bond to the concrete placed against it, Preprufe Plus doesn't need to rely on the earth outside of the building to hold it in place.

Now, Preprufe Plus provides ease of application benefits for the applicator and performance benefits for the building. With a kick-out roll and no release liner, Preprufe Plus is simpler and much faster to install. The innovative dual adhesive lap configuration has a stronger and more robust overlap seam that can be used even in marginal weather conditions and harsh climates. Waste is reduced and a quicker installation with the kick-out roll helps to reduce labour costs.

Coloured strips at the top and bottom of the lap at the edge of each roll cover an aggressive adhesive. Once the strips have been removed, a magnetic adhesive-to-adhesive bond is achieved at the seam, which is even stronger than the original Preprufe system.

As with the original Preprufe membranes, Preprufe Plus creates a watertight seal with the concrete to prevent lateral water migration. If there are any voids or punctures in the Preprufe membrane, water is confined to the void or puncture and cannot migrate laterally between the Preprufe and the concrete, keeping below-grade areas of a building leak free.
