July 2014 - The German oil brand Liqui Moly is entering the market in India. What's special about it? Liqui Moly is only made in Germany and is officially approved by all European car manufacturers. This quality has its price. 'We are not the cheapest,' says Michael Karl, responsible for the Indian market at Liqui Moly. 'Nor do we want to be the cheapest. We want to be the best.' Liqui Moly GmbH from Ulm in South Germany offers a wide range of high-quality products such as motor oils, additives, vehicle care products and service products. The range includes some 4000 items.

In its home market of Germany, Liqui Moly has already attained this goal. In the spring, the readers of numerous major car magazines voted Liqui Moly the most popular oil brand, ahead of competitors such as Castrol, Mobil, Valvoline and Total. Unlike its competitors, Liqui Moly is not a global corporation, but a medium-sized business. 'Whilst the corporations on the market move slowly like an oil tanker, we are a nimble speed boat,' says Michael Karl. 'We react quickly to customer wishes and market requirements.'

Modern engines have very special requirements of oil, which deviate from engine to engine. Therefore, engine oils are like liquid spare parts nowadays. Not even engine oil is suitable for every engine, much like not every shock absorber is suitable for every car. The motor oils by Liqui Moly have been officially approved by all European car manufacturers. This keeps you on the safe side both technically and in terms of warranty conditions of the car manufacturer.

But Liqui Moly is about more than just motor oils. The company also manufactures additives, which help car drivers to overcome and avoid engine problems and to extend the service life of the engine. And additives are valuable chemical tools for workshops, with which many jobs are quickly and easily dealt with. Everything is completely made in Germany.

Not only the products are of top quality, so is the service. 'We do not leave our customers on their own with our products, instead we show them how they can optimally use and sell them,' says Michael Karl. Several technical experts give the pros hints and tips; there are sales documents, advertising materials and incentives.
