Gamesa bags 54 MW wind power project

Gamesa Wind Turbines signed an agreement to supply 54 MW in wind turbines to an Indian electric utility company. The contract calls for the wind farm development, as well as the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance for 10 years of 27 G97-2.0 MW turbines in Andhra Pradesh. The commissioning is scheduled to be completed by May 2014.

Commenting on this order the Chairman and Managing Director of Gamesa India, Ramesh Kymal said, "This is yet another milestone for Gamesa as we continue to expand our foothold in the Indian Wind market. With the GBI now in place, we look forward to a very promising future ahead." According to Gamesa, the company has installed over 900MW and manages capacity of more than 800MW under operation and maintenance agreements. It currently has projects worth 4,300MW in its pipeline.
