Fujitsu, the third largest IT services company in the world, has introduced a SAP Qualified Rapid Deployment Solution for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) segment in India. Fujitsu's CGD ERP solution is the only pre-configured solution for City Gas Distribution entities in the market, which incorporates end-to-end business processes to offer a flexible, scalable and cost effective solution.

Today, most City Gas Distribution companies are inclined towards leveraging ERP for enhancing agility and operational efficiency in business, but are reaping limited value, despite significant spending. Fujitsu's CGD ERP solution's modular approach brings flexibility to its customers. It helps them to implement ERP in a phased manner, to spread total investment over a period, while its pre-configuration features offers lower total cost of ownership.

According to Mr Gupta, the piped natural gas distribution is poised to play an important role to offer cleaner source of efficient fuel for residential, industrial and commercial consumers in the country.

Fujitsu's CGD ERP solution offers functionalities, covering all industry value chain components, from procurement of gas, gas station life cycle management, pipeline infrastructure management, metering and device management, billing, business analytics, and consumer services.
