Exicom to supply battery management solutions for Hero Electric’s E-2W

Hero Electric intends to purchase 5 lakh units of Exicom BMS per annum, given the rapid increase in demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in the country. Exicom Intelligent BMS to power Hero Electric EVs with advanced features in compliance with AIS-156 Phase 1 safety norms.
Exicom to supply battery management solutions for Hero Electric’s E-2W

Gurugram, Haryana

Exicom, a leading EV charger and lithium-ion battery player, has entered into an agreement with Hero Electric to supply battery management systems (BMS) for the latter's electric two-wheelers in India. BMS, often referred to as the 'brain' of an EV, is responsible for monitoring the battery pack performance and safety parameters. Exicom said its BMS would allow Hero Electric to comply with the AIS-156 safety norms applicable from December 2022 and Mar 2023. Hero Electric intends to purchase 5 lakh units of Exicom BMS per annum, given the rapid increase in demand for EVs in the country.

Under this partnership, Exicom will provide Hero Electric with Intelligent BMS, built on multiple innovative technologies around remote health monitoring, multi-level safety checks to ensure that the battery operates within the safe operating area and advanced features such as cell balancing, proprietary SoX algorithms which help in enhancing the range of the two-wheelers and life of battery packs.

Exicom has made significant investments in BMS development, advanced battery packaging technologies and cell research. With the capability of in-house hardware and software development, Exicom will be in a good position to support one of the largest Electric two-wheeler manufacturers for customizations and products as the per future roadmap. Exicom BMS has a cumulative experience of 5 Cr+ km on Indian roads, which makes it one of the strongest players in the market.
