Emerson Industrial Automation held a series of customer seminars around the theme of ‘smart industry automation’ in April. Around 260 participants attended the seminar in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Customers of different categories like OEMs, end users, consultants, contractors, and system integrators joined the seminar. Presenters included Rengan Rajan (Managing Director, General Manager – India); A Bhanuprakash (Deputy General Manager – Technical Project Management); T R Sathishkumar, Manager (Product & Application) – Technical Support; and Xavier Arouette (Business Development Manager – Asia Pacific).

Sessions covered the topics of Control Techniques and Leroy-Somer products like Unidrive M, Mentor MP, Powerdrive MD2, Powerdrive F300, LSMV, LSRPM and LSES CPLS, along with features, applications, software and success stories. Attendees were also able to try out new initiatives like the Energy Savings Adviser smartphone app, as well as learning how to apply Unidrive M Connect and Machine Control Studio to a fully operational Unidrive M kit with remote communication through Ethernet.

The event was well received by the customer, and provided a valuable opportunity for learning and networking.
