Mumbai, 28th November 2013: Power management company Eaton hosted a Technology Day in Kolkata for the mining industry. The Technology Day highlighted Eaton's innovative offerings for mining applications that help improve energy efficiency, increase uptime in critical operations and protect people, property and the environment. Eaton is a power management company providing energy-efficient solutions that help customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power.

The Technology Day in Kolkata is part of a strategic Eaton initiative that involves holding a series of technology events. Eaton uses these technology events to reach out to customers and end-users and enable effective market interactions across major regions and key customer segments.

The Technology Day hosted at Hotel Golden Park in Kolkata showcased Eaton's complete portfolio of offerings for the mining industry in India. Eaton has a wide range of products and services from its Electrical, Hydraulics and Vehicle Group businesses. These include power Power Xpert UX, SC 9000 MV Drives, distribution and circuit protection devices, lighting solutions, life sense hose, pumps, axial motors, clutches, hydraulics and lubrication filters, vacuum contactors, MCCB, system stack valve, vane pump, directional valves, gear pumps, engine valves, torque control products and transmissions. These products are used across six stages of the mining process - exploration, production drill and blast, load and haul, crush and screen, material handling and processing.
