Eaton names Subhasis Chatterjee Managing Director - Hydraulics, India

Subhasis-Chatterjee.jpgDiversified industrial manufacturer Eaton announced that Subhasis Chatterjee has been named as managing director for the company's Hydraulics business in India. Chatterjee will report to Shyam Kambeyanda, president of Eaton's Hydraulics business in the Asia Pacific region. Chatterjee succeeds Nitin Chalke who was recently named managing director of Eaton in India.

"I am pleased that Subhasis has taken this new leadership role after his diversified global assignments in the Hydraulics Group," said Kambeyanda. "His extensive industrial experience makes him the ideal person to lead the growth of our business in India, one of the world's most dynamic markets. I am confident he will continue to enhance our customer partnerships and drive commercial excellence."

In his new role, Chatterjee will lead the marketing, sales, business development, engineering, human resources, finance, supply chain and manufacturing efforts of the Group in India.

Eaton-Logo.jpgChatterjee joined Eaton in 2003 as a sales manager for the Airflex business in India. He has held various other Hydraulics roles in India including marketing manager and sales & marketing manager. Most recently, he held global assignments in the U.S. including portfolio manager for Piston Products and segment director for Agriculture and Forestry. Prior to joining Eaton, Chatterjee worked for Atlas Copco and Worthington Pumps in India.

Chatterjee holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Jadavpur University and an MBA in marketing from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management at Calcutta University.
