Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that it is introducing the 5EL Uninterruptible Power System, which offers highest levels of reliability and efficiency in a compact design.

Eaton's 5EL, a -line-interactive UPS is specifically designed for applications requiring long power backup time. The Uninterruptible Power System also features a high capacity battery charger to unable fast recharge of its external battery. It protects critical applications from downtime, data loss and corruption caused by power fluctuations and long term outages.

5EL ensures trouble free start-up of your applications even during a utility power outage. It has a high performance battery charger, which reduces battery recharge time and protects the battery against damage caused by deep discharge. It has a very wide input voltage range of 140-300V, optimized to improve compatibility with engine generator sets and reduce the number of transfer to battery power.

The UPS features microprocessor control that delivers modified sine wave output that assures high performance and reliability. 5EL is structured on Line-Interactive Topology, which guarantees consistent reliability and high level of power quality. The output waveform is stabilized via double boost and buck mode, irrespective of supply disturbances and the battery is used only as a backup source.
