DiFACTO Robotics & Automation to host Robotica 2012

robatica_logo.jpgBangalore based D-FACTO Robotics and Automation Pvt Ltd, an engineering services company offering a complete range of services related to the robotics and automation industry, is organising Robotica 2012 - an in-house Industrial Robotics and Automation Show at its new premises in Bangalore, during May 10-12, 2012.

Robotica 2012 will practically demonstrate state-of-the-art technology developments in the field of Robotics and Automation. Visitors will benefit by understanding how the application of these technologies can improve productivity and safety, and help reduce manufacturing costs. Apart from displaying robots from the world's leading manufacturers (ABB, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Kuka, Yaskawa), DiFACTO will also showcase a prototype affordable, pick-and-place robot developed by Systemantics (a Bangalore based robotics company).

Some of the showcase technologies on live display at Robotica 2012 will be:

  • Robotic vision system being used to track and pick parts from a moving conveyor and then assemble the parts again using vision
  • A prototype model of an affordable robot for machine tool load/unload applications. The robot incorporates a unique hybrid (serial-parallel) mechanical arm - resulting in a cost-effective machine tool automation solution
  • An innovative pallet handling concept for a machine tool tending robot
  • Robotic deburring together with a new robot safety concept enabling human-robot interaction
  • Robot spot welding cell with a live demonstration of robot cell calibration using a laser tracker
  • A new robot simulation package that enables simultaneous robot and cell control emulation
  • Sheet metal parts inspection using a laser scanner mounted on the robot arm
  • Universal vacuum gripping enabling palletisation of different types of food items - cans, packets, boxes as well as separator sheets and packed cardboard containers, and
  • Robot Arc Welding cell demonstrating automatic in-line recovery of the robot Tool Centre Point (TCP) after a crash.
