DEP bags second place in EPC awards

Chennai

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) was recognised by the Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs and was awarded Second Place for the Highest Annual Employment in EOU Unit –Engineering (2019-20). The award was presented to Basant Sharma, Vice President, DEP by Anurpiya Singh Patel, Minister, Commerce, and Industry, in a ceremony graced by M Venkaiah Naidu, President of India.

Commenting on the award, Basant Sharma, Vice President, DEP said, “We are honoured to receive this award. I would like to congratulate my entire team at DEP family; all of this was made possible by their collective support and hard work. It was a proud moment for me to represent DEP. We have had great achievements even during the pandemic and we look forward to continuing in this growth path. We aim to achieve many more milestones and explore new horizons in business”    

The Exports Promotion Council's award ceremony held in Chennai recognises exceptional performance of Member Exporters. The award criteria were based on the organisation's yearly turnover accounting their exports. The major divisions include IT/ITES, Electronics, and Engineering. Based on these categories & specialisations, DEP was recognised under the ‘Engineering’ category with the second highest count of employment in export services discipline.
