Bangalore, November 19, 2013: South Asia's biggest exhibition of Construction Equipment (CE) organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - EXCON 2013, will be held from the 20th to 24th of November, 2013 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore. With the theme on 'Propelling Sustainable Infrastructure Growth', the seventh edition of the premier event for the CE industry will see the participation of over 730 exhibitors reaching out to 35,000+ business visitors. The event is supported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India.

Government of Karnataka is the Partner State for EXCON 2013. The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA) is the Sector Partner.

Spread across 2,20,000 sq.mtr of Exhibition Display Area, EXCON 2013 is bigger than its previous editions and will have the participation of 18 countries with country pavilions from Germany, Japan, Italy, Turkey, South Korea, Sweden and the People's Republic of China.

The exhibition will also feature Industry Conferences by CII, iCEMA and BAI; along with 100+ product launches and live demonstration of Advanced CE Technologies.

Focus areas of EXCON-2013 include:

• Overview of Construction Equipment: Current scenario and future trends
• Market opportunities and gaps in key end use sectors of ECE industry - Roads & Railways, Urban Infrastructure, Irrigation, etc
• ECE financing: Global best practices and scope in India
• Skilled Manpower and safety: Global perspective and roadmap in India, and
• Challenges and Opportunities in the Component Industry.

KOCEMA (Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association) is mounting a business delegation comprising 11 renowned Korean CE component manufacturers to participate at the exhibition.
