Chennai to host Conference on Precision Agriculture Technologies

Chennai, January 2017 – The Tamil Nadu Technology Development & Promotion Centre of CII is organising the 5th edition of AgriCon 2017: Conference on Precision Agriculture Technologies on 10th March 2017 at Hotel Hilton, Chennai.

Agriculture has always harnessed technical advances. New technologies are starting to be seen on farms, improving working practices and results. Digital technologies and analytics are transforming agriculture, making a farm’s field operations more insight driven and efficient. Digital-based farm services, referred to as precision agriculture, are helping to improve crop yield.

This conference would discuss on the most relevant trends, new business models, and processes in the agriculture sector and focus on how digital technology drives this transformation and impact the farming community.

The conference aims to cover the key areas in the following sessions:

Around 200 senior management personnel representing industry leaders and senior executives of leading manufacturers of agriculture machinery companies, major crop protection, seed, fertilizer, consultants, bankers, financial service providers and investors, tech and communication experts, pumps manufacturers, ICT Companies, fresh produce exporters; progressive farmers; retail chains and government agencies are expected to attend this conference.
