Uwe Bernhard Wache newly appointed CEO of LAP

Lueneburg, June 26, 2014 - Uwe Bernhard Wache has taken over as CEO of LAP GmbH Laser Applikationen, the company has announced.

"Mr Uwe Bernhard Wache is an internationally experienced manager with over 20 years of expertise in consulting as well as managing mid-tier enterprises. Together with our shareholders and business partners, he will carry on the successful path of LAP," Mr Karsten Hofmann, spokesman of the shareholders, announced. "Coping with the growing challenges of complex markets, Mr Wache will bring new dynamics to our company," he added.

"Worldwide, LAP has an excellent reputation as a leading laser expert," Uwe Bernhard Wache pointed out. "I appreciate the chance to open up new opportunities for the company using my experience and to support our customers in reaching their goals."

Guido Jung, former CEO of LAP GmbH, has retired from his position. The shareholders accept his decision and emphasize their gratitude for his dedicated work of the past years.

Since 1984, LAP GmbH develops, produces and markets laser systems for industrial as well as medical purposes. LAP's portfolio consists of laser components and specific system solutions for projection and non-contact measurement, which are used in various industrial branches as well as for accurate and reliable patient positioning in radiotherapy.

LAP provides worldwide customer service through sales and service offices in Florida and Kentucky in the United States, Singapore, Shanghai and Moscow. In addition, LAP maintains an international net of sales partners. LAP employs about 250 people worldwide, of which about 200 work at the company headquarters in Lueneburg, Germany.
