Yes, if ladies can fly aircrafts, operating forklift trucks is a child's play for young girls. Forklift Academy of India (FAI) has announced this paradigm shift of the male dominated field.

An MNC operation based at Hyderabad, entrusted the Forklift Academy of India the following tasks:

• The Reach Truck Operation training, and
• Training the girls to operate latest generation Reach Trucks.

Both these feats were achieved in a four-day workshop planned and executed at the customer's busy warehouse. At the end of the workshop all the 17 girls were at ease operating the Reach Truck, stacking/unstacking from racks as high as 5 levels safely and precisely.

FAI offers comprehensive training programs for all levels of forklift operators. The academy offers training for the following types of forklift trucks:

• Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training (Electric/IC Engine), and
• Reach Truck (Internal Warehouse Equipment).

Trainings are offered at FAI's premises or on-site at client's location, depending upon choice of the customer. FAI focuses on quality Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training. Based in Mumbai, FAI's core area of focus is providing forklift training for all levels of operators, viz., Fresh; Experienced but without any formal training; and Refresher course.

FAI's Training Programs are interactive in nature and designed to suit the need of the industry. Special programs for specific individual requirements are tailor-made after studying on site details. The participants have to compulsorily go through Pre and Post Tests, before qualifying as a MHE Operator, in order to be awarded a Proficiency Certificate.

Each training program is complemented by a set of comprehensive training material; this can be used by the MHE operator as a guide for their daily operations.
