C4V and Hindalco join forces for EV Battery advancements in India

Hindalco, in line with this collaboration, has recently announced the establishment of a 25,000-tonne battery foil manufacturing facility in Odisha.
C4V, a US-based company specialising in Li-Ion battery technology, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hindalco Industries for the development and supply of Battery Grade Aluminium foils, Coated Foils, and structural components for Li-ion cells. This collaboration is aimed at meeting the growing demand for EV battery materials in the market.
Under the terms of the MOU, Hindalco will supply C4V with up to 2,000 tonnes of battery foil over a five-year period. The agreement not only involves the supply chain but also establishes a strategic roadmap for collaboration on materials and joint technology development. This aligns with the dynamic needs of the Indian EV market, emphasising local manufacturing and expertise. The initiative is expected to enhance India's self-reliance in EV battery technology.
