Balu Forge Industries, headquartered in Mumbai, has acquired three forging lines in Karnataka, collectively capable of producing 72,000 tonnes of heavy forged products annually. The undisclosed acquisition aims to bolster the company's capabilities in heavy forged products, thereby enhancing its competitive position in the global engineering product market. Specializing in manufacturing forged metal components for various industries, Balu Forge Industries aims to compete on precision, product quality, and pricing with this strategic move. The newly acquired production lines, comprising a combination of hammers and presses, complement the company's existing precision machining capacity of 32,000 tonnes.

Trimaan Chandock , Executive Director, BFIL, said,  "The acquisition also provides level playing footing with all global majors in critical engineering product space & equally compete with them at global level in terms of precision, product and pricing. These newly acquired production lines complement the existing precision machining capacity of 32,000 tonne."

Based in Mumbai, BFIL manufactures forged metal components for sectors including marine and industrial, agricultural, and automotive.
