Automation 2012, the 7th edition of Asia's leading automation exhibition showcasing some of the best available technologically empowered machineries catering to Industrial Automation, Factory automation, Robotics, Drives and Controls, Logistics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Building Automation, etc., was launched in Mumbai on 12th May 2012 by Dr Gunther Kegel, CEO, Pepprel + Fuchs, Germany.

The Automation series of exhibitions, promoted and organised by IED Communications Ltd has gone from strength to strength and this includes more exhibitors than ever before. Visitors will be able to find out about the very latest products and services on offer and meet face-to-face with suppliers. Automation expertise is well represented and a wide variety of international exhibits will be on display.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr M Arokiaswamy, Managing Director, IED Communications Ltd, the brain behind organising this mega exhibition said, "Our journey since 2006 has been a highly successful one considering the global player's participation in the event. Today there is need for every industry in India to acquire technology based automation to take on the global competition."

The Chief Guest, Dr Gunther Kegel, enlightened the gathering with his experience in building the best business modules available in automation industry, which are still in a nascent stage in developing countries like India. This year, the expected visitors for the exhibition will be more than double the last year, the reason being implementing various high pitch communication modules, i.e., advertising, public relation, outdoor media, posters, banners, etc.

The 7th International Automation Exhibition & Conference will be held from September 7-10, 2012, at NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai. Field Bus, Profibus Association and Industrial Automation are organising a 3-day conference. National and international speakers will make presentatiosn on latest automation technologies. Over 300 delegates-decision makers of all industries across the country will attend the conferences.
