Atlas Machine Tools, an ISO 9001-2008 certified, Palakkad based firm bagged has bagged the prestigious Engineering Export Star Performer National Award for the year 2009-11 for machinery and electrical equipment exports from medium enterprise segment. EEPC India gives this national award for large, medium and small scale sectors in every year. Atlas Machine Tools, the only awardee from Kerala during 2009-10, started in the year 1978 to market various types of machinery and electrical and supplied to thousands of companies within the country and abroad.

The company entered into the export market for the last one decade and exported machinery and electrical to various countries in the world. The All India Export Award Presentation Function for the year 2009-10 will be held at Hotel The LaLiT New Delhi, on Tuesday, the 20th December 2011 from 4.45 p.m. Hon'ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia has given his consent to be the Chief Guest and give the Awards.

The Atlas Group is promoted by Shri K S Mani, a leading businessman and a social worker, who is actively associated with lot of social, cultural and sports organizations in Kerala for the last three decades. He is closely associated with the dairy development sector for the last two decades and has served as Director of Milma - Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd - the milkman of Kerala (2003-2008). Shri Mani is an active member of Rotary Club of Palghat East and has held various coveted posts, including Assistant Governor in Rotary International District 3200, from 1993 onwards. He is the Silver Jubilee President (2009-10) of Palghat Management Association, a professional body of working managers, affiliated to All India Management Association, Member - National Council of All India Management Association (AIMA), Executive Committee member of Swaralaya, etc. He is also the Chairman of Indexpo Kerala 2011 -Mega Industrial Exhibition held at Palakkad from 24th to 27th November, 2011.
