Pune, 30 July 2014: Atlas Copco, a world-leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has powered the entertainment theme park, Adlabs Imagica's animatronics equipment with compressed air solutions. Choosing VSD compressor technology from Atlas Copco has helped Adlabs Imagica achieve major energy savings, safety and environment friendly operations.

The Adlabs Imagica entertainment theme park was opened in April 2013. The park is owned and operated by Adlabs Entertainment Limited (AEL), and promoted by Manmohan Shetty. It is located near Khopoli on Mumbai-Pune Expressway in Maharashtra. The park is spread over 300 acres and offers entertainment, dining, shopping and can accommodate over 20,000 visitors and features 26 attractions along with five themed restaurants.

Balanand Anand, General Manager, Ride Engineering at Adlabs Imagica explained, "The compressed air in the amusement park is mostly used in powering up the animatronics equipments, some of the show action equipments and effects, in the restrain systems, safety interlocks and braking systems of wildest and biggest roller-coasters "The Nitro", and other attractions, viz., Rajasaurus the river adventure, Deep Space the roller coaster travelling along galaxies and black holes, Salimgarh dungeons. Mr India theme movie is back with a super character called Toota Phoota. Our requirement was of compact and quiet compressor units, as it was to be kept very close to the ride. Our other main concerns were proper service support and proximity of service centres."
