Altem introduces Objet Series dental 3D printers in India

Bengaluru, September 15th 2016: Altem Technologies, the leading partners for Stratasys and SLM in India, has announced the availability of their newest 3D printers, for orthodontic practices and laboratories. The new printers allow dental professionals to push the boundaries of digital dentistry right from their desktops.

The goal with the 3D printer is to enable any lab or dental clinic to fabricate stone models from their desktops for appliances, delivery and positioning trays, models for clear aligners, retainers and surgical guides.

3D printing technology enhances accuracy, eliminates risk and also reduces the need for messy, time-consuming procedures that are currently being followed. It can help save more than 50 percent of a technician’s time in designing and manufacturing restorations, which means a substantial reduction in operational costs as well.

Altem proprietary 3D printing materials provide full solutions for a variety of applications when combined with the PolyJet technology:

* Objet 30 Orthodesk for the dental clinic and small lab based set up
* Objet30 Dental Prime for more accurate and faster model preparations
* Eden 260VS, the first PolyJet 3D printer with a soluble support option to minimise the hands-on time and effort, and
* Eden 500V works well for mass production and for bigger labs.

“Altem is leading the way in helping to advance patient care by introducing solutions that enable personalised surgical planning and mass customisation. No more guessing or no more figuring-it-out as we go only digital precision,” says Prasad Rodagi, Founder-Director – Altem Technologies P Ltd.

Altem will be able to unveil a number of other orthodontic solutions that have shown a high degree of success by the process of 3D printing. Altem helps make practices far more efficient by dramatically shortening delivery times, improving service levels with accuracy along with cost reduction.
