Adani Defence Plans Additional Rs 100 Bn Investment

Adani Defence and Aerospace has confirmed an additional investment of Rs 100 billion to significantly scale up its defence manufacturing ecosystem. The company plans to expand facilities at its Hyderabad and Kanpur campuses while strengthening capabilities across missiles, drones, counter-drone systems, munitions, radars, small arms and space-grade components.

The group stated that the new investment will deepen vertical integration, enhance indigenisation and support the development of end-to-end defence platforms for India’s armed forces. Adani Defence also aims to boost exports, citing rising global demand for Indian-made defence technologies.

The expansion aligns with the government’s ambition to build a robust domestic defence industry by encouraging private sector participation, accelerating R&D and reducing import dependence across key military systems.
