Bengaluru, September 30, 2015: RenXSol Ecotech Private Limited, a Bangalore based solar solutions enterprise, has come out with unique hybrid solution combining both grid and off grid solution, in which BESCOM consumers who face agonising power cuts can use solar energy in multiple ways to benefit from lower investment costs, use of existing UPS batteries as well as benefit from Net Metering under BESCOM solar policy at higher tariffs.

The solar solution provides for installing Solar Panels on rooftops of houses, offices, institutions or factories with options of:

• Solar charging instead of EB power for existing batteries of UPS systems, to enable consumer use the battery back-up more usefully and efficiently for more number of hours
• If batteries are fully charged, then solar power will power the loads even in the absence of EB power for lights and fans during sunshine hours, and
• If both EB power is there and existing or new UPS batteries are fully charged, then such excess solar power generated is exported to the grid as per BESCOM Net Metering norms for adjusting against bills or getting paid for surplus electricity from BESCOM at Rs 9.56 per unit.

Many consumers face of problem of having existing UPS system batteries left with no charge as the backup hours are lower or there is no EB power to charge them. Customers with existing battery save on cost of investment of new battery and are able to optimize their existing system use. Secondly, if batteries are charged, solar power can power their lights and fans.

Thirdly, many others have installed net metering systems, but they also face black out as such solar power cannot be exported as such inverters work in presence of EB only and export the power. So neither do they get BESCOM benefits despite solar power generation, nor do they have the power supply.

The inverters and solar panels come with unique 5-year guarantee including for new batteries. This should surely remove the problems Bengaloreans are facing of no complete solution being available through solar.
