Kirloskar Oil Engines to increase prices of power generators

The entire range of 2 to 1010kVA power generator sets under KOEL Green & KOEL Chhota Chilli brands will be raised by 5-8 per cent from June 10, 2018
Bangalore; June 6, 2018
The power generation business of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) will increase the prices of its entire range of 2 to 1010kVA power generator sets under KOEL Green & KOEL Chhota Chilli brands by 5-8 per cent from June 10, 2018.
“Over the past one year, there has been a continuous rise in raw material costs, due to escalation in commodity prices. Considering the industry dynamics & GST transition during the last fiscal, we have been holding our genset prices, despite rising cost pressures till now. However, a price increase from June 10, 2018 now seems inevitable,” said Sanjeev Nimkar, Vice President & Business Head.
He added, “While the overall cost increase has been substantially higher to the tune of 10-15 per cent on various raw materials, KOEL is only moderately increasing prices, keeping in mind similar price pressure from different product ranges on our customers in their capital goods basket.”
KOEL Green and KOEL Chota Chilli are India's leading diesel genset brands (F&S 2018 published rankings based on quantity sold) which are designed and developed indigenously, using modern simulation technologies. KOEL generators will continue to deliver reliable, fuel-efficient and high quality output to meet the diverse power requirements of different market segments.
