HHV Pumps sets up new manufacturing facility at Bengaluru

Bengaluru, 23rd April, 2019: Continuing to relentlessly practise its ‘Make In India’ philosophy since 2009, HHV Pumps Pvt Ltd, a part of the HHV Group, has announced the setting up of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, spread over an area of 52,000 sq ft, at T.Begur, Nelamangala Taluk, Bengaluru.

HHV Pumps Design, Development and Applications team has been mentored by ex-Edwards personnel. Continuity of this core team has helped it to become the only Indian manufacturer with world class products and solutions for the rough vacuum (pick & place, job holding, wood working, thermoforming, etc.), medium vacuum (refrigeration and air conditioning, transformer oil filtration, distillation, etc.) and the high vacuum (industrial and scientific R&D, high vacuum distillation, space simulation, etc.) segments.

“HHV aims to be a global leader in vacuum pumping solutions, by ensuring the lowest cost of ownership for our customers through the use of indigenously developed technology as a part of our ongoing ‘Make In India’ philosophy”, said Prasanth Sakhamuri, Managing Director, HHV. “The existing unit of HHV Pumps located at Peenya, Bengaluru, which had commenced manufacturing operations in 2009, will be shifted to the new facility. The new facility, with an employee strength of 65, will manufacture vacuum pumping solutions of international standards including the two-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps, single-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps, roots boosters, multi-stage dry vacuum pumps and multi-stage dry vacuum pumping systems.”

The new unit will have 90 per cent of the maching activity located in-house. “The target markets for our products would be air conditioning and refrigeration, chemical/pharma, electrical and power, general/industrial (including packing), Research and Development, solar for lamination and others. We expect a turnover of Rs 38 crore for the current financial year from this unit,” added Sakhamuri.

This new facility set up at an initial investment of Rs 10 crore, was officially inaugurated by S.V Narasaiah, the Founder and Chairman of the HHV Group which was established in 1965 to develop Indian self reliance in high vacuum technology. Narasaiah is considered to be the pioneer of vacuum technology in India.
