Mumbai

GP Petroleums Ltd (GPPL), a leading lubricant manufacturer in India and part of UAE-based GP Global, has recently announced appointment of Prashanth Achar as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

Achar brings with him over 29 years of rich experience in the automotive and lubricant industry, across diverse roles like sales, marketing, strategy, business development, technology and M&As.

Prerit Goel, Group Director, GP Global, said, “Prashanth will be the whole time key managerial personnel to lead the company to next level, bringing with him the ability to identify, ideate and develop innovative solutions and motivate people to deliver the same.   Our philosophy has been to invest in the right leadership, and we look forward to Prashanth’s contribution in setting GP Petroleums on a growth tangent.”

Achar said, “I am happy to be a part of GP Petroleums, at this phase of its growth journey. The headwind for the lubricant industry per se is very strong which makes the job of the leader challenging and   drives one to innovate. GP Petroleums is known for its vast quality portfolio in industrial and rubber process oils. In the automotive segment, the dual Brands – Repsol and Ipol – help complete the offer through stratified positioning. I see a great potential and opportunity for GP Petroleums to grow the business being nimble footed and efficient in its operations while being customer centric in its DNA. I look forward to working with the entire team and make it future ready.”
