Honeywell has launched its 50 Series CCTV camera range, its first-ever locally developed and manufactured surveillance product line. In support of the Indian government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the cameras are entirely conceived, engineered and built within India. These units are Class 1 certified, the highest level under the ‘Make in India’ policy.

Created to cater to increasing regional demand for intelligent, high-performance and cyber-secure video solutions, the advanced camera series was developed at Honeywell’s global centre in Bengaluru. Manufacturing is handled in partnership with Indian EMS provider VVDN Technologies, which also collaborated on the hardware design.

“This product launch underscores our commitment to delivering secure, intelligent surveillance systems tailored for India. It reflects our support for the country’s growth story and our investment in local engineering and partnerships,” said Vimal Kapur, Chairman and CEO of Honeywell.

To commemorate the launch, Kapur met with Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Honourable Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Railways and I&B, alongside other Honeywell leaders including Anant Maheshwari, President and CEO of Honeywell Global Regions, Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, and VVDN Technologies Founder and President Vivek Bansal.

“The Indian economy is steadily expanding. Our vision is to position India as a ‘product nation’. These Made in India CCTV cameras are a valuable step forward. We urge the industry to design and manufacture in India, and serve global markets,” said Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Tailored for Indian customers, the 50 Series integrates intelligent analytics for proactive threat identification, superior imaging with gyro-based stabilisation, and resilient cybersecurity. The portfolio offers models in 3MP and 5MP resolutions in both dome and bullet formats, addressing the security needs of infrastructure spanning government, healthcare, education, transportation, real estate, and commercial sectors.

This product line builds on Honeywell’s 2024 acquisition of Carrier's Global Access Solutions business, including LenelS2, which expanded its capabilities in access control, video monitoring, and mobile credentialing. With the 50 Series, Honeywell strengthens its role as a premier OEM for end-to-end electronic security solutions across multiple industries.

Honeywell is an integrated enterprise supporting a wide spectrum of industries globally. Its operations align with three transformative trends—automation, aviation's future, and the energy transition—driven by the Honeywell Accelerator and Forge platforms. Through its Aerospace Technologies, Industrial Automation, Building Automation, and Energy & Sustainability Solutions units, Honeywell delivers smart, safe and sustainable innovations that solve critical global challenges.
