TIL Limited marked a major milestone by unveiling three breakthrough, 100 per cent indigenously built material handling products at EXCON 2025, India’s premier construction equipment exhibition. Held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the launches underscore TIL’s focus on engineering excellence, safety leadership, and indigenous manufacturing as the company positions itself as a comprehensive solutions provider for India’s infrastructure growth.
The five-day exhibition features over 1,200 global exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals, offering an ideal platform for TIL to present its expanded product portfolio, technological capabilities, and strategic vision for the Indian material handling sector. TIL’s participation follows steady operational progress, with a healthy order book of over Rs 200 crore and a 12 per cent year-on-year revenue increase to Rs 814.5 million in Q2FY26.
The headline launch is the CarryKing 515, a fully patented pick-and-carry-on-deck crane developed to meet modern job-site requirements. Powered by an Ashok Leyland H4C513022 engine delivering 130 HP, it achieves a top speed of 26.5 km/hr unladen. The crane offers a 15-tonne pick-and-carry capacity at a 2.5-metre radius and a carry-on-deck feature capable of transporting up to 6 tonnes. Key features include 360° continuous slew on tyres and outriggers, a 4-section boom extending from 6.5 to 17 metres, and 4x4 drive with 4-wheel steering for manoeuvrability in congested areas. Addressing long-standing safety concerns in the segment, the machine incorporates a microprocessor-based multifunctional safety system. Designed for shipyards, ports, construction sites, manufacturing plants, and power facilities, TIL expects roughly one-third of the pick-and-carry crane market—particularly large contractors—to shift towards this safety-focused solution.
TIL also announced its strategic return to the truck crane segment with the TMS-885, an 85-tonne truck-mounted crane offering enhanced performance at a competitive price. Featuring a 5-section full-power boom ranging from 12.1 to 43.8 metres and a Cummins QSB6.7 – 260 HP engine, the crane reaches a top speed of 49 km/hr. This launch aims to re-establish TIL’s strong presence in a segment where the company previously held 70–80 per cent market leadership. The TMS-885 reflects TIL’s commitment to regaining market share through reliable engineering, innovation, and robust after-sales support.
The third product, the RT RST-8, is the world’s first rough terrain empty container reachstacker, developed for Indian conditions and suitable for unpaved and uneven surfaces common in logistics yards, mining areas, and industrial sites. Featuring 4x4 drive, 4-wheel steering, the ability to handle up to four high-cube containers in the first row, and an 8-tonne lifting capacity with a 12.6-metre lifting height, it is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 173 HP engine. The machine fills a critical gap in domestic container-handling operations where many imported models are unsuitable for rough terrain. The RT RST-8 is suited for container yards, inland container depots, port terminals, and logistics hubs, and holds strong export potential for similarly challenging environments.
Sunil Kumar Chaturvedi, Chairman & Managing Director, TIL Limited, said, “We believe our customers are the real heroes of India's infrastructure story, and these three products have been engineered specifically to address their evolving needs for safer, more efficient, and versatile equipment. The overwhelming early response to our revolutionary CarryKing 515 validates our belief that the market is ready for equipment that refuses to compromise on safety. Backed by eight decades of domain expertise, strategic global partnerships, and our strengthening pan-India service network, TIL is positioned to capture significant market opportunities and contribute meaningfully to India's infrastructure and self-reliance objectives.”
Alok Tripathi, President, TIL Limited, said, “These three product launches showcase TIL's engineering capabilities and our deep understanding of customer challenges across construction, ports, logistics, and industrial sectors. Safety is non-negotiable for TIL 2.0, and this philosophy distinguishes our new products—particularly our pick-and-carry-on-deck crane, which is aimed at a market segment that desperately needs safer alternatives. Our 85-ton truck crane brings us back to a segment we pioneered, while our rough-terrain container handler addresses a critical gap with a solution designed for Indian conditions. As India builds future-ready cities and advanced infrastructure, TIL remains committed to driving progress with machinery that's smarter, safer, and more environmentally responsible.”
Pinaki Niyogi, CTO and COO, said, “We have launched the world's first rough terrain empty container handler, India's first truly safe pick and carry of deck crane and filled a crucial gap with our 85 to truck crane. The RT RST-8, CarryKing 515 and TMS 885 represent the beginning of a new era in India's material handling sector. I am proud of what we have achieved and excited about the many new projects in various stages of R&D at TIL 2.0.”
TIL’s presence at EXCON 2025 also showcases its focus on technological advancement through IoT integration, telematics-based predictive maintenance, and AI-driven analytics for equipment optimisation. Its manufacturing facilities in Kamarhati and Kharagpur—equipped with advanced fabrication capabilities and semi-automatic welding systems aligned with international standards—enable production of 100 per cent indigenous equipment that meets global benchmarks while maintaining competitive costs.
The outlook for the infrastructure equipment sector remains positive, supported by government capital expenditure across ports, highways, defence infrastructure, and urban development, along with rising private sector activity. TIL is well positioned to capitalise on these opportunities through its expanding product range, competitive cost structure, strong execution record, and reputation for engineering excellence and reliability.
