Miracle Electronic plans to establish a stronger global presence: Nilesh Vadhar

Established in 1994, Miracle Electronics Devices is today one of the leading manufacturers of transformers, inductors, wire harnesses in India. In this interview, Nilesh S Vadhar, Director, Miracle Electronic Devices Pvt Ltd, elaborates on the impact of increasing electrification on the market and how the company is meeting the rising demand for efficient power solutions.

How is Miracle Electronic Devices serving the industry?
Miracle Electronic Devices Pvt Ltd is a leading manufacturer of transformers and wiring harnesses catering to industries such as automotive, medical devices, industrial automation, and defense. Our manufacturing facilities are equipped with advanced technology to produce high-quality, customised solutions that meet international standards. We focus on precision engineering, compliance with global certifications, and customised power solutions to support critical applications across various sectors.

How do you analyse the status of the Indian manufacturing sector, in general, and the electrical & electronics (E&E) industry, in particular?
The Indian manufacturing sector is growing rapidly, driven by government initiatives like Make in India that encourage local production and reduce import dependency. The electrical & electronics industry is experiencing strong demand due to industrial automation, electric vehicle (EV) adoption, and increasing investments in healthcare and defense. With India positioning itself as a global manufacturing hub, the demand for high-quality transformers and wiring harnesses is expected to grow significantly.

What is driving the demand for your products/solutions & services? What is the USP of your products/technologies?
The demand for our transformers and wiring harnesses is driven by high manufacturing growth (leading to increased demand for industrial machinery and automation), expansion of healthcare infrastructure (requiring more medical equipment and reliable power solutions), and growth in the EV and automotive sector.

Unique Selling Points (USPs) of our products are:
  • Customised solutions tailored to specific industry requirements.
  • High-quality standards, ensuring compliance with, AS9001 D, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 9000, Product Certification like UL, and CE.
  • Strong export capabilities, with a growing presence in Europe, North America, and Asia.
What kind of opportunities are you looking to tap in the domestic and export markets?
In the domestic market, we expect following industries to provide big growth potential:

  • EV industry: By supplying wiring harnesses for electric vehicles
  • Medical devices: By expanding our medical-grade transformers and wiring harness offerings
  • Defence & aerospace: By supplying transformers & wiring harness
  • Data centres: By supplying transformers for inverters
  • Industrial automation: By providing custom power and wiring solutions for automated systems.
With respect to exports, we are strengthening our presence in Europe and North America, where the demand for high-reliability transformers and wiring harnesses is growing. We are also expanding partnerships with OEMs and large manufacturers to establish long-term supply agreements.

How is increasing electrification across sectors helping your business to grow?
Electrification across industries is increasing the demand for efficient power solutions and high-performance wiring harnesses. This is particularly relevant in:
  • EVs, where specialised high-voltage wiring harnesses and power components are essential for safe and efficient vehicle performance.
  • Medical devices, where medical-grade transformers ensure stable and safe power supply for critical healthcare applications.
  • Industrial automation, where custom wiring solutions are required to support smart manufacturing and robotics.
  • Data centres, where specialised high-KVA transformers and power components are essential for safe and efficient performance
As industries continue to transition toward electric and automated systems, our expertise in power electronics and wiring solutions positions us as a key supplier in this evolving market.

How do you plan to tap end-user industries for future business growth?
We are focusing on:
  • EV wiring harnesses, particularly for robotics applications like Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
  • Medical transformers and wiring solutions, ensuring compliance with stringent safety and reliability standards
  • Industrial automation by developing customised wiring harnesses and transformers for smart factories.
We are actively collaborating with OEMs and technology companies to expand our market presence in these sectors.

AI, digitalization/automation, and sustainability are the buzzwords today across the industries. How are you planning to tap these trends?
We integrate digital tools and automation to enhance manufacturing efficiency, ensure high product quality, and optimise supply chain operations. Our focus on sustainability includes:
  • Using eco-friendly packaging and reducing plastic consumption.
  • Adopting energy-efficient processes in our manufacturing facilities.
  • Implementing AI-driven quality control to improve accuracy and reduce production waste.
By leveraging these technologies, we aim to improve operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance the reliability of our products.

Which other trends are visible in the industry?
Several key trends are shaping the transformer and wiring harness industry:
  • Expansion of EVs and charging infrastructure, increasing the need for battery wiring and high-performance transformers.
  • Rapid growth in industrial automation, requiring custom wiring and power distribution solutions.
  • Increased investments in healthcare, leading to a rise in demand for medical-grade transformers and wiring harnesses.
  • A shift toward localised manufacturing, reducing dependency on imports and fostering innovation in India.
These trends are expected to drive demand for reliable, high-quality power solutions in the coming years.
