Zuken opened its Indian office in 2015, and the Japanese company is bringing its world-leading capabilities to India, especially in aerospace, defense, engineering and automotive verticals. A series of roadshows, Zuken Innovation World, took place from May 22 to 25, with the company showcasing its flagship electronic design automation platform, CR-8000 series, as well as the E3.series of products, used in cutting-edge wire-harness design, right across the world.

In addition to faster design and development cycles, Zuken’s software features improved data consistency and interchange across organisations. While not always ideal, pockets or islands of knowledge often exist within companies, and better outcomes are created by a collaborative design platform.

Highly sophisticated, technologically-driven hardware and machinery, from electronic components and wearable devices, to the state-of-the-art automotive and aerospace, have all benefited from Zuken’s design platforms.

The E3.series of software is a scalable and easy-to-learn system for the design of wiring and control systems, hydraulics, fluid flows and pneumatics. The solution includes schematic (for circuit and fluid diagrams), cable (for electrical and fluid design), panel (for panel layouts), and formboard (wiring harness manufacturing drawings). The E3.series integrates with MCAD, so is, therefore, a complete engineering solution from concept through to prototype realization and eventual full manufacturing output.

In electronic design, Zuken’s unified 3D development process (the CR-8000 series) brings multi-board, IC packaging and MCAD

together into a single platform. For any product to achieve the vision of its creators, manufacturers need a unified product view encompassing many disciplines. The co-design methodology, proven across the world, leverages the latest design methods to give its users a significant edge on the competition.
