SmartSoC Solutions partnered with DB HiTek to expand specialty foundry services in India, strengthening chip design-to-silicon capabilities.
SmartSoC Solutions Private Limited, a provider of semiconductor engineering and technology services based in India, has formed a strategic partnership with DB HiTek, a leading Korean semiconductor foundry. The collaboration marked a milestone in building India’s semiconductor ecosystem by introducing world-class specialty foundry capabilities to Indian companies and design houses.
Established in 2016, SmartSoC Solutions grew into a trusted partner for global semiconductor enterprises, offering services across chip design, development, verification, and validation. With turnkey solutions delivered to clients in automotive, telecom, consumer electronics, and industrial sectors, SmartSoC focused on driving innovation across the semiconductor value chain.
DB HiTek, Korea’s first system-level semiconductor foundry since 1997, invested consistently in advanced analog and mixed-signal processes such as 180 nm and 130 nm BCDMOS. It gained global recognition for specialty processes including BCDMOS, CMOS image sensors (CIS), RF, analog, and power technologies. Its foundry services powered diverse applications in consumer electronics, industrial systems, automotive, and mobile devices.
Through this partnership, SmartSoC assumed the role of DB HiTek’s Design Partner in India. It undertook to promote DB HiTek’s foundry services, facilitate technical engagement, and serve as the local interface for Indian clients seeking advanced fabrication capabilities. The alliance bridged India’s design strengths with global manufacturing expertise.
With strong design talent and government incentives such as production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes, India emerged as a high-potential market for foundries. Rising investments in semiconductor infrastructure increased demand for world-class foundry access, and this partnership enhanced the value chain by connecting Indian firms with DB HiTek’s mature, high-performance process technologies.
