We are looking at three-fold growth to meet global & domestic needs

Kindly brief us about your company.
Electronic Relays India is committed to design, develop and manufacture of solid state relays, input and output modules, and allied electronic sub-assemblies. It is an ISO9001:2015 certified company with its products approved by UL/cUL (a united testing mark by Underwriters Laboratories and Canadian standards), CE (a mark affirming European health, safety, and environmental protection standards), and UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA). More than 70 per cent of its production is exported to the US, Europe, Middle- East, and Asian countries.

We are located in Bangalore with its in-house design, manufacturing and testing facilities, the products are widely used in the industrial applications like HVAC, process control equipment, machine tools, business machines etc.

How has been the performance of the company in FY23 (so far)? What are the factors contributing to your growth?
The performance in the export market is very encouraging. The demand for quality is one of the major reasons for repeat orders from the existing customers. The long-standing experience is an added advantage to address the market.

What are the advantages offered by your company and its products?
The products solid state relay and I/O Modules offer very good advantages over the conventional competing products like electromagnetic relays and contactors.

  • Solid state relays are optically isolated, hence offer very good isolation between the high power and low power circuits.
  • As there are no moving parts, products are highly reliable and offer a very long life.
  • Products are used in hazardous areas due to its inherent solid state electronic parts and protected fully against harsh environment.
  • Improve load life due to switching at zero cross points of the AC mains wave.
  • They offer arc less and noiseless switching.
  • The I/O modules offer electrical isolation between the field and the control systems thereby offering best interface.
  • What are key challenges before the electrical & electronics (E&E) India? How we can overcome them?
We need to migrate from the present medium power to high power applications. In India, development of power electronics is at a low pace with respect to switching applications. The challenges are availability of devices at affordable cost, technology and market acceptability.

How will the government’s initiatives to promote industries like renewable, electric vehicles, batteries, ACC battery storage, automation/modernisation, etc generate more business for Indian E&E companies?
With the Govt initiatives there is tremendous scope to expect five-fold business in almost all the areas mentioned above.

What are the key emerging trends in the industry?
Emerging trends in the industry are EV and cloud based health monitoring equipment, replacement to batteries used in the medical field, security systems, aero space applications etc.

How are you planning to maximise your presence at Elecrama 2023?
We are launching two products planned to be launched at the fair with IoT related products.

    1. System Monitoring SSR
    2. I/O controllers for switching application

What are your growth plans for the company in the coming years?
We are looking at three-fold growth to meet global and domestic needs.

What is your vision for Indian manufacturing sector for 2025?
The trajectory is clear by visualising the current and prospects for India, ERI is looking for a quantum jump in the next three years time. Expansion, product diversification, cooperation etc should be the milestones for future growth.
