Wipro Hydraulics Marks 50 Years with Global Expansion and Innovations at EXCON 2025

Wipro Hydraulics, part of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), today announced a major milestone as it marks 50 years in business. Established in 1976 in Bengaluru (India), the company has strengthened its position as one of the world’s largest independent hydraulic cylinder manufacturers through sustained investments in innovation, technology, and customer relationships. At Excon 2025, it will showcase its latest products for a diverse range of applications and engage with customers, partners, and industry peers.

Wipro Hydraulics is part of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), a diversified industrial engineering organisation operating across six strategic business segments: Hydraulics, Automation Solutions, Aerospace, Water Treatment, Additive Manufacturing, and the newly launched Electronic Materials business. With a global footprint of 33 state-of-the-art facilities across four continents, WIN is on track to reach Rs 100 billion in revenues by the end of FY 2025–26.

Wipro Hydraulics’ capabilities span sixteen manufacturing facilities and four tech centres worldwide, delivering over a million custom-built cylinders annually for OEMs across construction, earthmoving, material and cargo handling, forestry, agriculture, mining, snow management, and truck tipping. Its precision-engineered solutions support critical infrastructure and industrial applications across India, Europe, and the Americas, including the US, Canada, and Brazil.

Pratik Kumar, CEO, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, said“This is an exciting milestone for all of us at WIN, reflecting decades of innovation, engineering excellence, and trusted customer partnerships that have shaped Wipro Hydraulics into a global leader. Guided by Wipro values and our commitment to purposeful engineering, we continue to invest in advanced technologies and global capabilities to deliver solutions that are efficient, reliable, and future-ready.”

Sitaram Ganeshan, President, Wipro Hydraulics, said, “We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting phase in Wipro Hydraulics’ journey. Our innovative product range enables us to serve customers in diverse market segments. This along with our global footprint has helped us to geographically diversify with about 70% of our sales coming from outside India. As we enter our 50th year, we remain deeply grateful to our long-standing customers for their trust in us, as we continue to deliver high-performance, reliable, and technologically advanced hydraulic solutions that help our customers succeed in their markets.”

Wipro Hydraulics has strengthened its global leadership through organic and inorganic strategic investments. The acquisitions of Mailhot Industries and JARP (Canada, Mexico and the US) and Columbus Hydraulics (US) in 2024 have enhanced its expertise in high-performance and custom cylinder applications across agriculture, construction, utilities, mining, defence, snow, and refuse applications. In India, the start of its technologically advanced plant in Jaipur (India) in 2024 has expanded capacity to meet growing demand and enhanced capability to deliver reliable products for domestic and international OEMs.

Innovation has remained central to Wipro Hydraulics’ growth over the last 50 years and continues to guide its development. The company is investing in improving efficiency and reliability through next-generation designs, while deploying AI and ML tools to enhance responsiveness, quality, and productivity.

At EXCON 2025, Wipro Hydraulics is showcasing a range of cylinders and components, including sensor-integrated models and precision-engineered products for skid steer loaders, telehandlers, mini excavators, and 3-way tippers. TipMatix, its condition-based predictive maintenance solution for truck hydraulics, is also on display.
