Setco Automotive Limited, one of India’s foremost manufacturers of medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MHCV) clutches and a key supplier of premium truck components, has announced its entry into the MHCV suspension solutions space with the launch of two new products: the Load Cushion and the Torque Rod Bush. This marks a significant diversification of Setco’s product range, strengthening its footprint in the commercial vehicle segment and reinforcing its dedication to engineering quality, durability, and performance.

Designed to perform in challenging conditions, these suspension components are engineered to enhance vehicle stability, ride quality, and shock absorption. They are produced using high-grade rubber and resilient rubber-to-metal bonding, ensuring reliability for both OEMs and the aftermarket.

The Load Cushion is a critical suspension element installed between the chassis and axle or leaf spring assembly. Its purpose is to absorb vertical loads and shocks from the road, especially under heavy-duty operating conditions. This helps to maintain structural balance and ride comfort. Load Cushions are primarily used in heavy-duty vehicles such as HCVs, trailers, and tippers equipped with bogie suspensions.

The Torque Rod Bush is another essential suspension component used in commercial vehicles including trucks, trailers, and buses. Positioned at both ends of the torque rod, which links the axle to the vehicle chassis, the bush absorbs shocks and vibrations, dampens abrupt forces from braking or rough terrain, and ensures structural alignment. These bushes are designed for medium and heavy commercial vehicles and play a key role in maintaining chassis stability and performance.

Harish Sheth, Chairman and Managing Director of Setco Automotive Ltd., commented, “After our successful foray into the engine cooling segment with the Automotive Water Pump, we are pleased to further expand our MHCV offerings with this new suspension range. These additions underscore our ongoing commitment to innovation, customer-centric solutions, and high-performance products. With improved comfort and reliability, these components reflect Setco’s trusted legacy in commercial vehicle systems.”
