Waaree Secures 350 MW Order from AMPIN for High-Efficiency Solar Modules

Waaree Energies Ltd has secured a 350 MW order from AMPIN Energy Transition, under this agreement, Waaree will supply high-efficiency G12R modules for AMPIN’s upcoming solar projects being developed across multiple locations in India. The delivery of modules is scheduled to be completed by March 2026, supporting AMPIN’s aggressive project pipeline and commitment to accelerating India’s clean energy transition.

Waaree’s G12R modules – built on advanced TOPCon technology – offer:

  • Higher energy density and superior bifaciality
  • Improved performance in diverse climatic conditions
  • Optimised LCOE for utility-scale projects
  • Robust quality backed by Waaree’s global testing standards

Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Founder, MD & CEO, AMPIN Energy Transition, said, “Our partnership with Waaree reinforces AMPIN’s strategy of deploying high-performance, future-ready solar technologies for our customers. As we scale our renewable energy portfolio across the country, we rely on partners who can deliver superior technology, strong manufacturing capabilities, and timely execution. Waaree’s G12R modules align perfectly with our quality benchmarks and long-term sustainability goals.”

Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree, said, “We are pleased to partner with AMPIN Energy Transition on their 350 MW portfolio. Our G12R modules are engineered for higher energy yield, excellent low-light performance, and long-term reliability- key factors for utility-scale and C&I developers. This order further strengthens Waaree’s relationship with one of India’s most forward-looking IPPs and underscores the trust leading developers place in our technology and manufacturing excellence.”

This collaboration between AMPIN and Waaree reflects the evolving preference of leading developers for domestic, high-technology solar manufacturing. With both companies committed to India’s 500 GW renewable energy target, the partnership highlights the role of indigenous innovation and manufacturing scale in powering the next decade of clean energy growth. This 350 MWp solar plant, once executed in India, would displace approximately 407,000 tonnes of CO2 per year (calculated as per Central Electricity Authority (CEA) CO2  Baseline Database (v.20.0, Dec 2024)).
